"Merry Christmas"

Well another Christmas dawns and while we are reminded again that the world around us is still is fighting to keep Christ out of the Holidays let us be very careful in our own understanding. That while we may force a obedient Target or Home Depot (or whatever chain has banned the traditional Christmas greetings) clerk to say in response to our "Merry Christmas", Merry Christmas back; that we too must heed those very words.

Christmas ought to be a time to be merry ; it can be a wonderful season if we will not consume ourselves with the hustle and bustle of the materialism frenzy. And truly focus on how precious this time is for us as Christians; when we celebrate our Saviour's birth.

So now  thru this difficult time of putting up with pushy, greedy, and mean spirited present buyers, overly enthusiastic parking space grabbers, and ill tempered and I'll have you(overworked) check out clerks; let us who hold to the true meaning of this season in our words as well as our hearts continue to make this season MERRY.

And so with a smile on our face and a light in our heart; we greet all with a real "Merry Christmas!".
